The Little hi

During the winter of 2021, while living in Zaandam, I was greeted by a young girl with a soft "hi" as she cycled past me by the river. This gesture of saying hi to strangers is a beautiful habit in Dutch culture that I had never experienced before in China. This heartfelt moment left a lasting impression on me and served as the inspiration for my video work. Later, it was transformed into the publication "The Little Hi", which was designed by Dutch graphic designer Jan-Pieter Karper. The publication captures the essence of this memory and pays tribute to this special moment.
