Everyone likes banana
A group performance: Table of futile evenings, ISO Amsterdam, July 2022
The show was held in the format of a dinner event called "Table of futile evenings" at ISO Amsterdam. The event hosted 75 guests who were served 10 courses with artworks while seated for two hours. Each artist contributed their own unique element to the meal.
In my course, I incorporated my artistic practice into my contribution to the meal by serving 75 bananas, each with a QR code sticker. The QR code, when scanned, played a video of me eating a banana with a fork, and guests were instructed to follow suit and throw the banana peels on the floor. I wanted to create a new impression of this globally ubiquitous fruit by turning it into a playful and interactive art piece.
